September 1st to September 5th, 2023
Experience an authentic summer adventure in Nunavut’s Baffin Island awaits, home to the Capital Iqaluit, the start of your authentic adventure and Pangnirtung your second destination.
In both communities, engage with locals while you explore town, stopping at landmarks, artisan shops or a museum. Hike across the blooming tundra in the magnificent Auyuittuq National Park. Venture deeper onto the Arctic ocean observe gigantic iceberg, follow migratory path of bowhead whales and visit Kekerten Territorial Park. Perhaps, you’ll experience the midnight sun, feel the energizing warmth of our ever too short summer. You have left behind the well-trodden path, you’re on a Bucket List adventure with Inukpak Outfitting.
Experience our all-inclusive Pangnirtung & Auyuittuq National Park, Discovery program. This best-selling trip includes flights, accommodation, ground transportation, daily guided excursions and more.
Enriching human encounters, breathtaking landscapes, marine fauna the size of a school bus, and magnificent icebergs are what this trip has in store for you. This unique journey will take you to Pangnirtung, certainly one of the most welcoming villages in Nunavut.
“Pang” is known worldwide for the impressive quality of its art, tapestry and print making. You can’t go to Pang and not fall in love with a piece of art. Our first day will be spent exploring the community, the visitor centre and the arts centre and meeting smiling children and openhearted elders along the way.
Auyuittuq National Park rolls out its trail for us. Hiking into the valley, you are invited to travel toward the Pass. A day’s hike within the park boundaries will take us through boulder fields, tundra and moraines, with high peaks and glaciers dotting the land along your hike.
On the third day, a Panniqturmiutaq guide (Pangnirtung resident) guide will take us to experience a piece of the Arctic from hundreds of years ago. Destination Kekerten Island, an old whaling station that has shaped the history of the area. Watch out for seals, polar bears, bowhead whales and icebergs on your way there. The island’s rich is illustrated by many artefacts and, lucky for us, our guide is an expert on that subject.
Memories like these are not likely to fade away !
