The Heart Saver course is the benchmark for training in CPR/AED in Canada. Both simple and comprehensive, it will allow you to acquire the skills and confidence to intervene in the event of cardiac arrest, whether you’re at home, in a public place or at work.
This course is designed for the general public. If you need to know the basics, look no further. Our instructor will teach how to recognize cardiac arrest, call emergency services quickly, and helping the victim until that more experienced caregivers arrive to take over. During the practical part, you will learn to perform a high quality, new standards CPR, to use an AED, to administer breaths by the technique of mouth-to-mouth or with a mask, and bring relief to a person victim of choking.
This 16-hours course covers 17 areas of critical care, Including the Heart Saver (mentioned above) as well as emergency scene management, burns, bleeding and wounds, bone and muscle injuries, and much more. Learn to save lives and quickly respond to injuries.
Standard First Aid is a fully workplace accredited, classroom-based, instructor-lead course that teaches the core first aid competencies required by Workplace Health & Safety Boards across Canada.
